Leon Stead – Senior Pastor (Mission & Membership)

Leon was born, bred and has never left living on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Not because he thinks this place is heaven, but because there more than 200 000 people living here who do – and they need the gospel.
Leon came to faith in Jesus through the the ministry of his grandmother at a SUFM Beach Mission in Bulli when he was about 4years old.
Leon joined the team at Narrabeen as a Student Pastor in 1998 whilst still studying at Sydney Missionary & Bible College. In 2000 he came on full-time as the youth pastor. In 2006 he shifted into a general pastor role and was ordained that year having completed his accreditation studies at Morling College. Since May 2007 he has served there as the senior pastor.
Leon is married to Heidi (June 1997) and they have four kids: Samuel (Jan ’01), Charlotte (Jun ’03), Madeleine (Dec ’04) and Jessica (Oct ’06). Life is fun & full!

Leon is passionate about sharing God’s Word with people in faithful,  clear & creative ways. Discipleship and evangelism are the two things that excite him most in ministry.

Interests: Leon loves cooking, surfing, fishing & finding solitude on the back of a motorbike.
