Since we can’t do things the way we would like to do them this year due to a global pandemic and a pesky strain of COVID-19 called Delta, we thought “let’s make lemons into lemonade”!

The plan is for you to get the study done, and for us to make it a little bit more endurable… maybe even teetering on enjoyable! Each day someone who loves the yr12s will make a devotional video for you to start the day. This hopefully will frame your day in light of God’s kingdom and his plan for your life. Then, it’s over to you to do some study. We will provide a sample study timetable if that will be helpful for you to make sure you’re using time efficiently.

We will also provide you with a list of tutors from church who are pro in their field and are happy for you to text them if you’ve got questions or if you want to chat something over.

Then at lunchtime each day mosey on down to the NBC carpark for a free meal. Each day we are providing you with with lunch, and a chance to sit in your cars near your friends as you wait for lunch to be ready. Chat through car windows, whinge about your practice exam, etc. We will also provide takeaway coffees/teas/chais/hotchocs. We will be running lunch time from 12:30-1:30 each day, and we will send you off with your food, since you're not allowed to hang around. As a parting gift, we will send you off each day with a hot beverage and a treat to take home for Arvo Tea.

You might take the opportunity away from your desk to venture out on a walk with a friend. Or if you are double vaccinated you could even go and sit in the park with up to 5 friends. Or, you could grab the goods and rush off if you wanna get back to the books. Our goal is to show you guys that we love you and we support you, and to break up the potential monotony of at-home study.

And best of all, this is all FREE for you! And your friends are welcome to join in too (we will limit participants to 20, so that the carpark can handle it). If you’re keen to join in, please fill in this form below to register.

COVID-safe: We take the governments regulations seriously and have consulted with the police about our plans to ensure they are permissible. We will take care to act within the regulations.

What if you don’t have your licence or a car to drive?

We would still love for you to participate in any way you can. We thought that maybe someone from your family could drive you to church at lunch time? Or if that’s not possible, we could arrange for someone to drop food off to your place. I’m open to other ideas too!
